The Borby Water Tube can be inserted within a depth range of 200mm to 400mm.

They are 400mm long and have pre-cut slots to form a 300mm length but can also be cut anywhere along the plain upper body or trimmed off at the bottom for small plants.

For larger new plants they should be cut to the 300mm length and for smaller plants further trimmed off at the bottom so they end up being NO deeper then the bottom of the root ball.

After cutting to length simply place the tube in the planting hole up against the side of the root ball, and NO deeper than the bottom of the root ball, and then back-fill the hole.

Please note: If fitting the Borby Water Tube in grassed areas the tube should be inserted so that when the cap is fitted it will be below lawn mower height so it can be cut over not around.

The perforated cap has been designed to prevent unwanted intrusions but still be able to accept water without removing it.
